Holland – European Gateway for Good and Evil

L. (Bert) P. Dorenbos

When the leaders of Europe were together in December, 1996, in Dublin, Ireland, for their semi-annual meeting of the European Union, a heavy fight proceeded concerning the fundamental disagreement all 14 members had against the tolerant drug policies held by the tiny nation of Holland. France’s President Chriac was the most outspoken adversary of the Dutch drug policy. In spite of the Maastricht Treaty and the Schengen Treaty for open borders throughout Europe, he closed the borders against the flow of a drug trade between France and Holland.

All members then tried to convince Holland that their liberal drug policies were a severe threat against the whole of Europe. But the stubborn Dutch government was deaf to all arguments and felt themselves threatened in their autonomy as a sovereign and independent state, so held its ground. Holland, the heretofore fighter for European unity from the very beginning, changed into a fighter against that unity by not being willing to give in to the counsel from the other countries to tighten drug freedoms in Holland.

For the following six months, Dutch Prime Minister Kok was the acting President of the European Council and it is to be expected that the inter-community drug war disagreement will continue. Some kind of war/peace resolution has been signed in Dublin, but already new initiatives to break the Dutch mentality are being taken by the Belgian prime minister and again by President Chirac. It is amazing to see that the purple Dutch cabinet which had fought for freedom on nearly every ethical topic is now throwing away their ethical foundations based in Christianity. After 75 years of Christian participation in whatever coalition, now the non-Christians have taken the lead of the socialists, the liberals, and non-conformist party to bring some reason to the table. In every attempt to come in with Judeo-Christian standards and norms, it seems that Christianity in Dutch eyes, is the enemy for future freedom for all.

Not to say that the Christian Democratic Party (CDA) has been so “christian” in its ethical standards of the past. On the contrary. In order to have peace within the coalition, they have accepted abortion, euthanasia, a liberal drug policy, and freedom of pornography beyond the imagination. It is not too much to say that the “Christian” politicians have paved the way for the secular humanists to clear out Christian principles in nearly every corner of society. For example, the school system is heavily attacked with the promotion of evolution in the school exam. Christian schools in small communities are pressured to the point of closing up. And the so-called pluriform bases of nearly every social organization in Holland have been ruined by all kinds of measures to promote a non-Christian, liberal socialist unity. Christians are literally thrown to the fringes of society. It has become more and more upside down.

Fighting against abortion to preserve life is seen as discrimination against the morality of the majority because freedom for choosing life is the basis. To fight for life in cases of euthanasia is seen by the pro-death side as barbarism revived and mental cruelty by (pro-life) people who advocate unrelenting suffering for the dying instead of allowing mercy killing to end their suffering.

Another example is that freedom of sex is considered a victory over Victorian Christianity. Every attempt, even to protecting children against the demon of pornography, is seen as interfering in the freedom of sex. The horrible Belgian Dutrou children porno murder cases were not enough to awaken the Dutch government to change the law about child pornography in which porn with children from 12 years old up to 16. The present law is that children abused by the porn industry will only be helped if they file a complaint themselves! But what child of 12 years is able to complain under the threat from the pornographers who are misusing them? It is shameful that we live with this unrealistic legislation passed by a government which hesitates to “interfere” in the freedom of sexual choices. But it is dreadful that we should leave this freedom in the hands of the porno Mafia with which to continue to use little children for their own gain.

Also in Holland, there are many missing children. What comes to the surface in these cases of exploitation (like those of Belgium) proves that there is corruption high in the political and governmental structures our society. If we do not take measures quickly, sooner or later Western society will go under because of the explosion of pornography with its easy and high financial gain possibilities. The next world war will be a final apocalyptic war on moral issues preceding the coming of the eternal kingdom of righteousness and justice.

It is horrible to live with this legislation. Amsterdam is promoted by the Dutch tourist office as the “Gay Capital of the World” and gay marriages were voted in by a majority of parliament. The slogan freedom for all is turning the country into an ego-centered hedonistic and individualistic oriented society where only the strongest will be able to survive in their fight of the “fittest”. That makes the weakest people into the true victims of societal whims. Freedom turns into captivity by the rise of drugs, porno, and sex slavery. These victims are now crying out for help and survival but it seems that the only solution offered will be to keep them in the concentration camps of their problems.

The drug policy is becoming more and more focused on locating drug addicted people into closed areas where free drugs and methadone may be obtained in such a way that the rest of society will not be hindered or burdened by them. There is no goal to curing the disease, but to just accept their lifestyle and provide more drugs. The abortion, euthanasia, pornography and gay syndicates along with the drug mafiosi are congratulating themselves with their easy victories. Their fight for freedom in the “war on drugs” means multiple millions to their pockets as conglomerates are formed and prospered nearly every day.

Holland is a tolerant legal country as those in Parliament enquire IRT as an extensive report has shown. Although the most severe cases have come to light, politicians have still not taken any measures to begin to solve this penetration of evil into society. Government reports came forth that the Mafia has not yet penetrated politics but it is obvious that the Dutch legal system is losing its grip on the situation along with allowing the inherent dangers to flourish as we now see. Calamity is expected in the near future.

Amsterdam - a Drug Freehold

Drugs can be obtained on every corner of the streets of Amsterdam. One walk through the center of Amsterdam and you are offered cocaine several times. Drug users are littering the streets with their silver papers after opening heroin wherever they are standing. Drug dealing is taking place everywhere. The 600 coffee shops are open and promote freely. Everyone knows that drugs can be obtained without any questions raised. The so-called “distinction” between soft and hard drugs is fiction because there are no soft drugs. In half of the coffee shops they will direct you where to buy hard drugs if that is what is preferred. It is a proven fact that nearly all addicted persons started with the so-called soft drugs. The “gedoogbeleid” is no more--but also no less--than a free entering of drugs into society.

More than 600,000 youngsters are using hashish. Drug dealers are penetrating schools more and more often. A recent study in Groningen, city schools showed that drugs at school tripled. The Hash Museum is grinding out leaflets on how to grow hashish at home in the kitchen or bathroom. Their shops in Amsterdam demonstrate how to grow the weed, complete with the special lamps and plants needed. On the Internet every detail of formation is given. Anyone who visits Holland will be convinced of this grave situation. And, although the Dutch government is trying to conceal the situation with nice letters and documents, every Dutchman knows the truth.

Holland at the Flood Stage

Of course, Holland is an independent and free nation. But their resistance to cooperation in solving the overall drug disaster reeks of corruption. Nobody can deny the international dimension of this problem. It is obvious that in an area of cultural and moral decline, more and more Europeans will flow to the open and free drug marketplace. And this is happening day after day. Cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the border cities Enschede in the east, Heerlen in the south, and Terneuzen close to Belgium, are especially busy on the weekends with foreign drug addicts. Crime is going up and up with all kinds of related problems arising.

When the rivers are flooded from outside Holland, European unity and cooperation is sought for immediately, because Holland is in eminent danger. It happened two times in a row that large parts of Holland were flooded because of an overflow of water from the Rhine River and Mesue. And recently the north of the Netherland was flooded damaging most of the harvest. Now we are flooded with this severe drug problem and the Dutch government chooses to close the borders as much as possible against any cooperation to shut it down claiming that their drug policy is better -- a drug policy which simply shuts the eyes to the disastrous situation throughout Holland and problems coming out of it. Instead of Dutch stubbornness and pride, Holland which once ruled the oceans with an international view, should rather stand up and take the lead in instituting broad solutions to stop the flood of drugs affecting their own people and for Europe’s welfare. Millions upon millions of people are affected in this.

Concerned Citizens from several European countries joined forces under the leadership of Drs. Bert P. Dorenbos, President of Schreeuw om Leven (Cry for Life)-Holland, to inform the Dutch and European politicians and social workers to join together in combatting the evil of drug infiltration. Concerned Citizens held two conferences and published several documents to assist in this effort. The main purpose was to give honest warning of the dangers to the youth of their societies and to spend money and expend efforts toward various prevention programs.

The key to combatting the trade in drugs is by a united international effort. With Europol within Dutch borders, Holland has a unique chance to take the initiative. For Holland, the so-called “gedoogbeleid” has to be transformed into a zero option for the coffee shops with an extensive expansion of programs to help addicts in order to release them from their debilitating addictions and return to society as productive citizens. Up to now it seems that the government has not been willing to listen. The coffee shop trade union is the major information source for the government and the united drug users are the second in line. Concerned Citizens will be a platform and information dissemination center for discussion with the government.

What else is to be done?

Continued outside pressure will help to awaken the Dutch political conscience that we are not living in a tightly held closed world but in an open economic and social inter-community where good and evil are fighting it out in the hearts and minds of the people, leaving the children bruised and wounded. Evil is more clever and faster to take root than good in every case where borders for protection are weakened.

Tolerance Without a Biblical Foundation Leads to Anarchy

It is not too late! Holland has historically been a country of tolerant liberality throughout the centuries. People who did not find a place of sanction elsewhere were welcomed here. Just think about the Portuguese and Spanish Jews and thousands more victims of oppressed countries. Tolerance is a blessed habit of the deep Calvinistic-rooted attitude of the people in the low lands who had to fight themselves behind the manmade dikes for survival against the ever threatening storm tossed seas.

Brave men and women knew about death and danger and welcomed others in from danger. Continued tolerance which loosens the foundation of Holland’s previously strong standards and ethics (which kept those men at the dikes) can only serve to float the nation away from its moorings. It seems this tragedy has not gone far enough yet and that harsher disasters will be needed to awaken the centuries blessed nation out of its evil and passive thinking that every standard Christianity originally brought the nation should be thrown to the winds by allowing a breaking of the taboos on every ethical position.

When the foundations are completely ruined, the nation may not recover enough to rebuild the dikes. And Biblical foundations are not only good for believers, but for every one who comes under their influence because its’ rules and principles are universally applicable. To throw them away is the most dangerous undertaking possible because what is universal will stand. Common sense and knowledge will show this to be eternal truth. It is the evil power who will portray this as a lie in order to conquer as many people as possible and keep them in their prison of sin and slavery. When evil overtakes good, good must be proclaimed anyway and yet louder.

For most, it is too much to expect them to embrace the resurrection power of the King of kings, but time will prove this eternal power with the proclamation of the eternal kingdom of righteousness. When evil is so evidently portrayed in all places, the logical conclusion is that good is near. The word good differs only a little bit from the word God. The divine revelation in all who live in God know that God is good and this alone can change the personal, political, and societal perspectives from its evil direction toward Jesus Christ’s direction.

God, who is above all gods, has proven in His revealed power this eternal truth again and again. Be aware. It is very dangerous to bypass these remarks as religious and unimportant. But in no time at all you will see the results of a blinded mentality in which a floating and drifting system of standards and norms leaves everything unstable. In the evil fight for the “survival of the fittest” to rule the world by eliminating the unwelcome species by death in various forms, is a lie so they might obtain their utopian future. After that, what will be next or possible? Dutch drug addicts understand this solution only too well because they know that their own daily fight between good and evil is identifiable and most real. It is obvious that an evil so evident as what we witness, can only cry out for God’s good direction for that is the only solution.

The Obvious Existence of Evil and Good

The obvious visible existence and presence of evil is the absolute proof of the existence of good. If evil is, then the counterpart good is sure to be revealed. In the midst of evil, we expect good to come. The drug addicted victim knows that evil is keeping him in that prison and the only way out in his or her mind, is death. Drug addicts, flowing in their mental “high heavens” think they are reaching beyond human intelligence. They all tell about dragons and demons, about dangerous and frightening dreams along with visions of green pastures filled by peace and pleasure. The more drawn into the depths of the mire of dope, come clear the presence of demons and their personal devils. For them, it is true and obvious that the Devil’s kingdom is quite real and exists very nearby.

In the fight to be released from this devilish prison, they all talk about the Devil fighting back in a very real struggle to keep them ensnared in his possession. It is nearly impossible to break the chains of addiction. The fight is real: it takes place in the human mind. Specialists say that drug addiction is 80 percent a spiritual problem. It is the literal fight between evil and good.

The Devil is manifesting himself in the drug war. It is the fight for freedom beyond your own understanding. It is the War on Drugs. The pro-drugs scene is fighting for freedom of “rights”, which gives them license to life “freely”. The fight against drugs is to preserve people from addiction in order to be truly free. This fight between good and evil of the Mind is very important to grasp by both the pro- and the contra- sides, so as to get a basis of common understanding what the fight is really about.

The real fight, may I underscore, is not over drug use but is a death-struggle between good and evil and which side will dictate the norms and standards of their society. It is a discussion of how a successful society must be built. The popular way of freedom thinking says that the ultimate utopia of the mind will bring optimum togetherness in a society. If everyone is free to do what he wants to do, so this thinking goes, then we will find unity and peace for all. This self-centered way of thinking is nothing new. Throughout the centuries philosophers, dreamers, and scientists have sought for the same thing.

But it is sad to say that the way to fight evil by allowing total individual license to act as each wants, has not led to unity or peace amongst people. It appears that evil is more stubborn than the people of “good mind” were supposing. It seems normal that evil will always fight against good and that the war between them has to be fought on the basis of acceptance of a structural existence of evil, only to be fought within the arms of good.

So the facts are, that the only way to find the way of good is to fight evil and to sustain everything which is on the right side. Not that evil should take over, but that evil should be put in the chains of protection by good. And isn’t it at once obvious that the only way to protect society from situations of evil is to build prisons in which all evil can be kept safely away from society? The real prison here, however, is not made of brick and mortar but is in the mindset of the people. Only when there is a common understanding that evil has to be resisted and outlawed can society try to influence change in the minds of those who have been taken in the most self-damaging directions which first landed them in the spheres of evil.

Universal Standards and Norms

The growing discussion about the proper standards, mores, and norms of society is the proof that we have come to a point of distinct disorder and disarray. There is uncertainty and disagreement everywhere about the present state of the art. We must have a Foundational Law, a fundamental declaration, based on a growing unity of beneficial standards for the well being of society as a whole. It is a positive sign that there is a growing awareness that present developments are not leading in the right direction for growth, but rather toward decay.

The search and fight to find the right is, however, being done by a modern contingency which is against the direction of the flow of norms of the past. This dangerous and narrow minded attitude is usually based on feelings instead of facts. Most often this distancing from the past way of living arises from the secularization of society. The science of secularization was formed from the mindset that after centuries of oppression by fundamentalist Bible-based cultural standards, we should move on to gaining a humanistic utopia and not fall backwards to the past ways.

Every moment that the modernist thinkers feel or think that the growing standards and norms discussion begins to reflect the “good old days”, they are threatened and close their mouths to open discussion. By this, they seem to feel able to close themselves off from the past in their attempt to form the future. But, as we know, humankind in every sense is stringed on a chain of past, present, and future events. The bottom line is that by cutting past connections, it will lead to the impossibility of finding a way out of current unacceptable (and evil) circumstances.

The truth is the truth and will evidentially and sometimes immediately overcome lies. Truth remains because what is truth is unalterable. I do not want to digress here for a lengthy philosophical discussion between truth and untruth, but it is obvious to assert that evil has nothing at all to do with truth and good; love neither has anything to do with a lie. For evil is the lie and good is the truth. Love is the binding factor for promoting truth and good for a society.

What is the Truth?

Let us say here that if addiction, alcoholism, illegal drug use and abuse, gambling, prostitution, or whatever crimes are mentioned; if the killing of life by abortion, euthanasia, or by outright violence; if pornography with all its many tentacles of evil, incest and sexual transgress all belong to evil, than this is the Lie. However, their presence also means that Truth is at hand. The State of the Union has to declare the state of the art in giving direction to rejecting the Lie in order to promote truth, health, life, love and prosperity.

And the best part is that everyone contains within themselves an endless longing and understanding to obtain good for themselves. So the way out of evil is very possible and at hand. It begins with the proclamation of love for self in the way of denial of evil. And the good you want for yourself should also be the same for everyone else. It comes down to possessing a personal but truthful attitude regarding good and evil.

This seems to be a “preachy” approach for people who have abandoned Christianity as a threatening danger, often thrown out of their lives along with church and religion. But a strong warning is needed right now. Be very careful not to hinder the absolute need for open discussion concerning about the future of our society by a personal desire to stay cemented in views which contain purely emotional conclusions regarding past religious issues. If emotional conclusions dominate the fundamental need for indepth discussion, then chaos would result and the victims of contemporary society will not be helped or provided with a solution as they cry for help. On the contrary, the victims will all the more be victimized as many are drawn into the dangerous waters of evil where the fight is strongest and more will be assured of drowning.

There is a legitimate place to discuss the reality and powerful strongholds of Satan against the kingdom of God. Because, if evil does exist and demons are here, then it is proved that God exists. Of if you do not want this conclusion, then it is fair to say that the demonic cannot either exist. We have the overwhelming proof of demonic intervention as the drug addict can attest to. They will not deny that. The conclusion that God exists leads us to the necessity to embrace God’s revelation in His Book of books and to check His revelation against the events of these contemporary days.

There is a strong tendency to keep God out of our discussions which is unjust because if we give the Devil his place, then his counterpart has the same right in the discussion. To deny God’s existence and personal concern with the affairs of men would by default, allow evil it’s head with an unhindered route to expansion of his kingdom. The benefit of discussing this parameter in Christian circles would be immense. In this way we may all the more thoroughly proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ and His love more penetratingly in these last darkening days. Our way out is to fight against evil in tangible ways in order for good to be established in our nations.

Holland: Nation of Tolerance

Again, Holland is famous for its attitude of tolerance down through the centuries. When anyone was discriminated against, they found in her a place of refuge. Recall again the Portuguese Jews who were persecuted by the Catholic leadership in southern Europe. Where were they to go to survive? Nowadays in Amsterdam, you will see the famous Portuguese synagogue and the Jewish quarter Jordan, and many manifestations of the Jewish presence in Holland. The slang word for Amsterdam is Mokum, a Jewish expression. The diamond industry in Amsterdam and Antwerp had a strong Jewish stronghold. In fact, the golden age of Holland came about by the Jewish presence. God’s blessing was here.

And there were also Puritans who fled from England’s oppressiveness, coming to Holland where there was safe haven. The famous English church in Amsterdam has a glass stained window picturing the Pilgrim fathers sailing to the New Land, great America. This tolerance was developed from deep Christian principles and those with faith. Love and be loved, they said. The Ten Commandments were respected. When tolerance is based on strong inviolable commandments, the godly direction of tolerance is guaranteed. But when the basis of tolerance changes in direction through “freedom for all expressions”, then there is conflict. As we know, there can be no joint tolerance rules because it would change into going by what the majority thought was best. Unfortunately, tolerance based on evil is more widely accepted making a freedom without boundaries the norm which brings chaos and despair to a society.

The whole protection of life debate is situated in this conflict of freedom principle. When one thinks their unborn child is unwanted, then there can be developed the “right” to kill it. When one thinks they want to die for self-promoting reasons, than the society is organized in such a way that you can execute this “right” in a so-called decent way. When a nation begins to think that Down’s Syndrome children should not be born at all, then it is possible to abort them after the pregnancy investigation. The genetic discussion is also based in this thinking, the new medical code of ethics.

But there is a remnant of deep feeling and understanding that somewhere there is a problem with all this. We see it most often when people are called to remember the Holocaust when the handicapped, elderly, too young, the sick, mentally deficient, and trouble makers (Christians, gypsies, gays) were first to be gassed in the death chambers. People become very angry and upset. Not to mention the Jewish racial holocaust in Germany and other parts of Europe for which they were gassed for no other reason. Life, at that time, seemed to have been safe in the leaders’ hands. Yet still the modern trend of thinking is again that the leaders are sure about life, and that it is safe in their hands. We should all agree with them and be quiet to maintain unity.

But when a shocking program was aired in Holland in early January, 1997, it was exposed that abortionists now have no problem with aborting one healthy twin (it had a minor problem with its fingers) or another abortionist said that he would “help” women who do not want a particular gender child, we are already again in the identical position of the past. We chose between life and death, the leaders leading the way. We have become victims of our own species and have created a world where a baby seal today has more rights to life than a baby human being.

Take the killing of seals on the ice fields of Greenland. The whole Green Peace organization comes in with an uproar to stop it immediately. Perhaps humankind will be rescued if we demonstrate an abortion on mother seals! But in that case, the uproar would be “cruelty to animals” (which it is), and that the abortion decision should best stay between the mother seal and her veterinarian. How confused and backwards the world has become.

Tolerance based on freedom for everyone is a danger for Life. Life at the beginning; life at the end; and life in between. Who does have the right to speak against someone who kills himself or kills another? Who has the right to come against drugs, sex, gambling and other destructive vices? Man chooses himself as god and if he wants to be in the prison of his own addiction, then this was his own choice, the argument goes. But we cannot rest on this faulty reasoning.

Holland is on the brink of total moral disaster which is right now flooding the nation and overflowing into other countries which are also beginning to drown. This strong warning must reach out broadly to clearly outline the moral whirlwind that can only serve to destroy and devalue a nation which willingly, lawfully, and with aforethought seeks to kill its own. Who will be left untouched? Certainly not your family.
